BURGLARY: A resident of the 700 block of 82nd Street reported he was video gaming at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday when he heard a crash at the rear of his apartment and saw someone trying to enter. He chased the intruder to no avail. The investigation is continuing.

DWAI DRUGS: Police were called to a welfare check in the 2600 block of Lockport Road found David A. Phelps, 52, of Saunders Settlement Road asleep at the wheel of his running Lincoln. His passenger was asleep as well. It was 12:44 a.m. Thursday. Police woke up Phelps and asked him to step from the vehicle. According to the police report, Phelps was confused, disoriented, had droopy eyelids and was “on the nod”. Phelps admitted using narcotics several hours prior and was charged with first degree DWI drugs.

TOWED: A Cadillac illegally parked near 700 4th Street was towed from the scene early Thursday morning.
