CARS RUMMAGED: A 3800 block Macklem Avenue resident reported 3 cars left unlocked had been rummaged through Monday overnight with loose change and sunglasses taken.

CARS RUMMAGED: A 2800 block of Macklem Avenue resident reported key fobs cash and changed taken from her car Monday overnight.

CAR RUMMAGED: Monday overnight someone entered a vehicle on Van Rensalaer Avenue Monday overnight and stole a garage door opener.

RADAR DETECTOR TAKEN: A resident of the 2800 block of Macklem Avenue reported someone entered an unlocked vehicle inside an unlocked garage and stole a radar detector overnight Monday.

STRUCTURE FIRE: Police responded to a structure fire at 2202 Weston Avenue at about 12:50 a.m. Tuesday. The resident awakened to the smell of smoke and evacuated. Firefighters responded and extinguished an attic fire.

STOLEN CIGS: An employee of Citgo, 700 Main Street, reported just after noon Monday he was unloading cigarettes when someone stole a crate full valued at $3,800.

STOLEN STEAK: Shawn Munt, 46, of 245 Payne Ave. North Tonawanda was charged with petit larceny after allegedly leaving Portage Road Tops with 6 steaks valued at $95.26.

ROBBERY: A loss prevention officer witnessed two people trying to leave Hyde Park Family Dollar without paying for cleaning supplies valued at $231. The suspect allegedly brandished a knife and fled the scene. Other officers apprehended Terrence Barnett, 35, homeless a few blocks away. He was charged with petit larceny, robbery and menacing.

STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED: A plate scanner alerted police to a stolen vehicle in the City Market parking lot at about 6 p.m. Monday. The vehicle fled the scene and evaded police. Other officers located the vehicle in the 800 block alley between Pierce and Whitney. Marcellus Pierce, 52, homeless, of Buffalo was Bobbie Fullenweider, 48, of Olympic Avenue, Buffalo were captured after a foot chase. Both denied driving and were charged with criminal possession of stolen property, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration.
