Rainbow Air to offer night flights

Niagara Falls is a truly spectacular sight by day. Now, for the first time in its 32-year history, Rainbow Air Helicopter Tours invites guests to discover the Falls’ magic after dark.

Rainbow Air will begin offering night flights over the Falls, giving visitors a fresh perspective on one of the world’s most celebrated natural wonders. The new tours launch Friday, November 13, and will operate on Friday and Saturday evenings from 5-8:30 pm through March 13, 2027, wrapping up before daylight saving time returns.

As always, tours are weather dependent, and will take off and land at the Rainbow Air Tourism Center, 56 Acheson Drive, off Buffalo Avenue in Niagara Falls, NY.

From above, guests will see the American and Horseshoe (Canadian) Falls illuminated against the night sky, with the city lights on both sides of the border creating a dramatic backdrop. The experience brings together the beauty of the waterfalls and the glow of two downtowns into one unforgettable flight.

Until Jan, 10, the view will include an added attraction: the Winter Festival of Lights on the Canadian side of the Falls. Rainbow Air will be able to offer guests a unique aerial perspective on the colorful seasonal displays, yet another reason to take in this breathtaking new viewing opportunity.

“We’re excited to offer this new perspective on the awesome power and beauty of Niagara Falls,” said Patrick Keyes, sales and marketing manager at Rainbow Air. “Rainbow Air is committed to offering more to do throughout the year. Adding this exciting option to our new building, new helicopters, amazing Virtual Reality gallery and more shows our ongoing efforts to evolve into a must-do experience in the Falls.”

For area residents, the new flights offer a chance to rediscover a familiar landmark, while visitors from further away will get yet another reason to make Niagara Falls an overnight winter getaway.

Following the opening of the Rainbow Air Tourism Center in July 2025, the company has continued to expand its operation to boost options for people regardless of how far they’ve traveled to enjoy this bucket list destination year round.

Reservations are requested for the night flights. Tickets are $185 per adult with credit and $180 cash; children between 40” and 50” tall pay $151 per person. Note that there will only be one helicopter in service, so space is limited.
