DWI ACCIDENT: Police were called to the scene of a two-car accident shortly after 12 a.m. Sunday near 29th Street and Pine Avenue. On the scene, one of the drivers, a 24th Street resident was believed to have caused the crash. He was disoriented and smelled of cologne and gum. He didn’t know where he was coming from or going to but did admit he had been drinking. He failed field sobriety tests and and was charged with operating without an inspection certificate, driving while intoxicated, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and moving from a lane unsafely.

PETIT LARCENY: A Buffalo woman was arrested shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday and charged with petit larceny after allegedly taking goods from Walmart valued at more than $150.

PETIT LARCENY: A Buffalo woman was arrested at about 6 p.m. Sunday after failing to scan several items at Walmart. In addition to petit larceny, she was charged with resisting arrest and acting in a manner injurious to a child.

ASSAULT: An Ontario man was taken into custody at La Quinta at about 11:21 p.m. Sunday after an incident in the hotel lobby where families visiting for a hockey tournament had asked him to calm down after he allegedly screamed into his phone “I am going to kill you if you don’t give me my passport back.” The suspect attacked two people before he was tackled and held for police who charged him with assault and menacing.

DOLLAR GENERAL: Police on patrol saw a man leave Dollar General with a manager in pursuit at about 5 p.m. Sunday. They collared the Chilton Ave. resident nearby and charged him with petit larceny.
