DUI DRUGS: Police were called to Pine Avenue 7/11 at 5:40 p.m. Sunday for a report of a driver asleep at the wheel. Police woke up the driver, a known homeless man, and ordered him to turn off the vehicle. He was disoriented and confused with slurred speech. The suspect was suspected of opioid use and taken into custody on a charge of DUI drugs.
TAG SWITCHING: At 8:14 p.m. Saturday, a Youngstown woman was observed changing tags on items and failing to pay full price at Target on Niagara Falls Boulevard. She was taken into custody on a charge of petit larceny.
HARASSMENT: A Willow Avenue man kicked in the front door of a 5th Street property at about 8:30 Saturday. He also smashed a window. The 5th Street residents reported they have been the ongoing targets of threats and abuse from the suspect. He was taken into custody on charges of burglary, criminal mischief and menacing.
FAMILY DISPUTE: Police responded to a Walnut Avenue address at 4:22 p.m. Friday for a report of a robbery. Once they worked through the nonsense, they determined no one had been robbed or threatened with a gun but a Krull Parkway resident spit on a bystander and behaved in a quarrelsome fashion. She was apparently upset by a family dispute over money and was taken into custody on a charge of disorderly conduct, fighting, violent behavior.
TROUBLE ON WHEELS: A Walnut Avenue man wanted on a warrant from Lewiston was taken into custody following a struggle that included a Porter Road woman trying to help him get away at about 8:38 a.m. Friday near 11th Street and Cleveland Avenue. The suspect was charged with resisting arrest, obstructing and assaulting an officer.
