Another toxic book club meeting

The Niagara Falls Book Circle is heading into the belly of the beast.

At 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27. There is no evidence Niagara University has been negatively impacted by the adjacent massive toxic landfill that dwarfs the size of Love Canal and drains into the Niagara River Gorge through Bloody Run, an intermittent stream adjacent to the Devil’s Hole Stairs.

The book to be discussed is Thundering Waters, by Christen Civiletto, an attorney and expert on the toxic legacy in our midst.

Civiletto put over two decades of research into this book. Since it was just released on June 30th and many were not able to get a copy of the book (or read it in it's entirety if they did) before our July event, we decided to cover it in August and Christen has been gracious enough to make time to attend and present once again. She'll provide additional information, provide updates on recent events, answer questions and sign books.

The attached flyer has the event details. It's not too late to pick up a copy of the book using the discount code Princeton Press has provided just for our event.

The Book Corner is also working on getting in more copies (Jeff quickly sold out after last month’s event).
