Niagara Falls Police Blotter
OOPS: At 1:30 a.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to the scene of a property damage accident in the 1800 block of Niagara Avenue. A 10th Street woman driving home from a Military Road bar crossed Niagara Avenue and struck a parked car. She failed some field sobriety tests, admitted she had two shots while working and agreed to a blood test. She was charged with DWI, moving from a lane unsafely, operating a motor vehicle while using a phone and operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08 or higher.
BIKE CHASE: Police driving on Hyde Park Boulevard at 9:45 p.m. Sunday observed a bicyclist traveling the wrong way on the road and turned around to use lights and sirens to effect a stop. The suspect attempted to flee but was caught on Ferry Avenue and taken into custody. Police locked his bike up for him and gave him a passel of tickets including including failure to use a bike lane, no lights, no signal/bell, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration.
